Advocate

Advocate

Advocacy means different things to different people:
  • talking to individuals and groups about the issues,
  • organizing a letter writing campaign,
  • planning an educational summit,
  • lobbying for policy change.
Advocating for your community begins when you educate yourself about the social and economic issues facing our region.  The next step is sharing that information with someone you know.  We’re not all cut out to stand in picket lines or work in a soup line, but we all can encourage conversations about those matters most pressing to our community.
