Corporate Volunteer

Is it time to do your yearly management retreat?  Do you need to boost employee morale?  Consider a corporate volunteer project as a team-building exercise!

United Way of the Piedmont’s Volunteer Connections program can coordinate a group project that will lift your colleagues’ spirits, get them to work together as a team, and leave them with the feeling they’ve made a difference.  Hands-on activities are a great way to give back to this community.

Here’s just a sample of the types of corporate projects Volunteer Connections can arrange:
  • Adopt a bedroom at a local shelter and give it a fresh coat of paint
  • Spend an afternoon in a community center or with an after school program helping with homework and activities
  • Collect school supplies for a program serving at-risk youth
  • Get your hands dirty completing a landscaping project
  • Spend a day at the local soup kitchen preparing and serving food to the hungry
  • Collect canned goods for a local food pantry
  • Pack up your tool boxes and spend a day doing simple repair work an a local non-profit organization
  • Purchase and assemble some playground equipment for a local community center
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!  Ready to volunteer now? Contact the United Way Volunteer Connections program at (864) 582-7556.
