Volunteer

Week of Caring

During Week of Caring 2008, United Way mobilized over 600 volunteers to complete 69 volunteer projects in our community.

The week of September 8-12 was United Way of the Piedmont’s Week of Caring!  During the week, United Way worked with local corporations and groups to complete volunteer projects throughout our community.  Take a look at a few images from Week of Caring projects.

Individuals, co-workers, and groups participated by adopting a volunteer project from a local agency or non-profit.  Projects were tailored to the interests and time constraints of the group or organization.  Volunteer opportunities were simple as conducting a canned-good drive or as involved as repainting a room at a local shelter.
